A plaque commemorates the Pioneer Award for the filmmakers behind “Here Come the Videofreex”

On Sunday, October 30, “Here Come the Videofreex” received a special honor. The recognition came with the film’s screening during the Berkeley Video and Film Festival at the East Bay Media Center Performance Space.

Before the documentary, Mel Vapour, co-owner of the Media Center, presented the Pioneer Award to Videofreex member Mary Curtis Ratcliff. Mary Curtis was thrilled to accept the award plaque on behalf of the New York-based filmmaking team, Jon Nealon and Jenny Raskin.
